This summer, take the whole family over to Roper Mountain Science Center where expert collaboration has put the excitement back into science.
Now through July 13, get up close and personal with hundreds of winged beauties at the Butterfly Adventure habitat in the newly renovated Harrison Hall. But be sure to swing by on July 9 for a special Butterfly Bonanza, complete with cookies, crafts and private time in the habitat. Other additions to Harrison Hall include a shark exhibit, immersive tanks with a focus on coral reefs and the food web, and upgraded habitats for more than 100 animals that call the center home. Navigate the night sky on Fridays at the 51-foot Giant Dome Theater and Planetarium. At shows, dive into a black hole and learn the truth behind space misconceptions. Plan a visit to the special Second Saturdays where the public can get a glimpse what students engage in throughout the week. Coming up this month, the Blueberry Festival!
